- Author: MarisaReally great dumplings. I like the juicy pork buns. They had such an umami flavor and were crispy on the bottom. Everything was delicious. The wood ear mushroom app was seasoned and cooked perfectly, the mushrooms were so fresh and crunchy. The wine and beer for $ is a little pricey for the quality. Got servings of dumplings and an app for people and it was plenty, even too much food. The boiled mushroom and chicken dumplings were simple yet juicy and delicious. The XLB were good as well, the soup was flavorful and the wrapper not too thick. We came : on a Thursday and only waited minutes to be seated. They have outdoor seating too but it was too cold. It’s a small place and very casual, decor/ atmosphere is nothing much. And the single bathroom in the back is not very clean and you have to walk past the serving station to get to it.I hear this is a really popular place and was on the Michelin guide. Def very good dumplings and affordable.
- Author: Manny EllisonOMFG! The best dumplings I’ve ever had hands down! We had just watched the Nutcracker and were starving. We waited in the cold but it was worth it. We had the juicy pork bao which I thought was the best thing we ate there. We had onion pancakes, spring rolls, vegetables bun, garlic green onion noodles, and other stuff I forgot. All really good. Service was fast nice and efficient. We were in and out fairly quickly. Hiiiiiiighly recommend.
- Author: Kay JayThey have a variety of dumplings. But 生煎包, sheng jian bao, is an interesting option. And of course in a good way. Love their dumplings. The dumpling skin is not overly thick or soggy soft and the soup within the dumplings is very flavorful and tasty. Service staff were friendly and efficient. Didn’t have to wait too long for my order. Price point was reasonable. Not entirely sure why there were ranked second in an article about dumplings in SF. I went to the place that was ranked first. Let’s just say, I didn’t even bother to write any reviews for them. So if you have been pondering and thinking which to try out first, check out dumpling home. By the way, they only accept if everyone is present. So you can’t send an ‘advance party’ to grab a table for . Make sure your party is punctual. And yes, there is a long queue of people waiting to go in.
- Author: Anthony O'ReillyI was born and raised in Queens, NY, which has more dumpling spots than some states. Dumpling Home rivals many of my native haunts, and it's easily in the top of my all-time dumpling restaurants (yes, I have a list. You don't?)The filling is incredibly flavorful while also being delicate and not overly rich. In other words, you can order a variety of flavors and not feel overly full. And you’ll want to. The classic chicken filling is great, but there also specials like curry lamb. One warning: Listen to the servers when they say the soup dumpling broth is VERY hot.
